Common Faults of CNC Router:

1. Short circuit of spindle motor, broken bearing, broken rotor, rotor sliding wire, etc.

2. Limit switch and limit switch line are easy to break.

3. Easy broken of Z-axis 608 bearing and the pull open of coupling often lead to Z-axis knives break or inaccurate.

4. Pump is easy to have noise or have no water.

5. Compass is easy to have scratches after six months.

6. After long time use, Z-axis screw will have some noise in running, and get stuck when go up and down.

7. Dust-proof for Z-axis and Y-axis is not good, which leads to too much dust on them.

8. Screw nuts of X-axis and Y-axis are easy to fall, and machine top wire is easy to loose.

9. Inverter is easy to short circuit, and stepper motor is easy to have no rotation, broken shaft, or have gap between the upper and lower.

10. Computer signal of engraving machine can not be transmitted.

Fault Cause:

1) Settings of software parameter are incorrect.

2) Machine and computer are not connected.

3) There is a problem with computer serial port.

4) Software transfer rate is inconsistent with the baud rate setting of engraving machine.

 The Solutions:

1) Reset the parameters.

2) Press the “Offline” button to make the offline light off.

3) Use another serial port.

4) Reset the baud rate.

General introduction for some frequently occurring problems:

When CNC engraving machine/ cnc router doesn’t work properly, it may be a problem with its internal components or other reasons.

1. One of three axes cannot move. In this case, check if the drive block corresponding to the axis is damaged. Use the replacement method to inspect: unplug the aviation plug corresponding to the non-moving axis, and insert it on the driver corresponding to other moving axis. If the non-moving axis moves normally after exchange, it means that the corresponded drive block is damaged and needs to be replaced. If the non-moving axis still doesn’t work, it means there are faults in cable or motor, and the cable or motor needs to be replaced.

2. All three axes cannot move. In this case, check if the three axes aviation plugs are connected to the control box, the control box power is turned on, and the data cable is connected to the control box and the control card in computer host. If all above are normal, please contact our factory.

3. The spindle cannot operate properly. In this case, check the error code displayed on the LED display of the inverter (see the inverter error code item).

Common faults and solutions of spindle motors:

If the motor is hot, check whether the pump and the circulating water is working properly; if the motor is not strong, check whether the motor line is lack phase or the cable is short-circuited; if the motor sounds abnormal, check whether the motor is overloaded, or the motor has internally faulty (please contact our factory); if the motor reverse, check whether the motor line is lack phase, or the output UVW ends are arbitrarily changed.
